- Class size: Maximum 6 students
- Age: At least 14 years of age

Course materials
The lab/materials fee covers the costs of two lab notebooks for the student, expenses related to the lab equipment, and printing of class handouts and weekly quizzes. (It does not include the textbook. See below.)
Students will also need the following supplies:
1. Textbook – I have selected the following high school physics text because I believe it provides a clear presentation of content and good opportunities for practice. A copy of the book will be on hand for you to preview at the Interest Meeting, and I welcome questions about how any particular topic will be covered.

- Publication Date: 2006 (This is not the latest edition, but it is a solid text that has stood the test of time and none of the subject matter we are studying has changed since its publication. I will be happy to help my students locate copies.)
2. Scientific calculator capable of calculating squares, square-roots, exponents, and the trig functions of sin, cos, and tan.
3. Three-ring binder to organize handouts, lined paper, protractor, and ruler
4. Access to computer with internet and printer access for downloading assignments and supporting documents, viewing solutions, analyzing data, writing lab reports, accessing online resources, and communicating through Edmodo. Some assignments will need to be printed.
